Home Schooler – In the 8th grade, my parents decided to home school my brother and me.  At the time, I thought it would be fun to stay home and relax all day.  Little did I know what was in store for me.  My mother had us up at 5 in the morning running for P.E. and in class by 12 Monday through Friday.  In the afternoons, we were either out volunteering or working at our jobs.  I developed a work ethic beyond what I thought I could obtain, and I developed a deep passion for learning.  By my senior year, I was the spokesperson for the Plano Education Association for Christian Homschoolers. I don’t think home schooling is for everyone, but it really molded me into the person I am today.

Eagle Scout – I obtained my eagle scout when I was 14 years old.  The character I developed through the scouting program has been priceless.  From wilderness survival to leadership skills, I learned more about life and about myself than I ever thought possible.

Why I became a Chiropractor – When I was seventeen years old, I jumped head first into a lake that was 4 feet deep.  I was not paralyzed or severely injured, but over the course of a year, my pain reached the point where I had to stop playing competitive tennis, and could not perform the way I wanted to athletically.  For that year, I neglected to see a Chiropractor thinking the profession was bogus.  I finally became so depressed and discouraged with life that I took a friend’s recommendation and went to see a Chiropractor.  After a month of regular adjustments, I was pain free. And I had new enlightenment into the field of Chiropractic.  I started working for the doctor who treated me and saw people’s lives being changed on a daily basis.  It was then that I changed my major from Advertising Journalism to start my prerequisites for Parker College.  Chiropractic has a dear place in my heart and I love sharing it with everyone.
